I love to read and I have been learning about
things I can do at home to help my family stay
safe.

We checked our smoke alarms last night and
our new hose even has fire sprinklers. My
aunt is a volunteer fire chief and I want to grow
up to be just like her.

I'm Mattie and I got to tour the firehouse
yesterday. It was great and I can't wait to do
it again. Did you know that firefighters even
have an escape plan at the firehouse? I am
            going to draw one with my family and
            we're going to practice it with a
          home fire drill tonight!

I'm Brooke and I love math and science. I am a
patrol at my school and safety is really important
both at school and at home.

Whether it's pedestrian safety, bike safety,
or home safety, everyone needs to work
together and know what to do to be safe.
Last week my dad changed the batteries in
my grandparents smoke alarms.

Hi! I'm Jada and the firefighters came to my
school last week and taught us what to do in
case of an emergency. They were so cool and
now I know how to call 911 in an emergency.

I'm Carlos, Jr. and I want to be a firefighter/
paramedic when I grow up, just like my dad!
My teacher lets us play games on the fire/rescue
website. They're a lot of fun and I get to learn
about what to do in an emergency.
